Purple Friday

Stand Up to BullyingFriday February 26th is International Stand Up to Bullying Day and also Purple Friday.

This completely links in with World Kindness Day (already celebrated on November 13th 2015) the MVP concept, Rights Respecting School, and restorative practice.

Purple fridayWe will be highlighting the benefits of being a positive bystander and promoting positive relationships through;


•MVP Positive bystander quotes around the school/on the digital screen

•MVP Solution focused info around the school/on the digital screen on how to 'do the right thing' to promote positive relationships

Stand Up To Bullying
•Promoting the BeStrong campaign which promotes positive relationships online with their BeStrong emojis. Pupils on snapchat/twitter are familiar with them.


•A number of purple ribbons have been made by Lauramichelle Stewart .

Staff/pupils can get one from Miss Stewart if they wish to support standing up to homophobia, biphobia and transphobia on Purple Friday &#X1f308&#X1f60a
